What this policy covers
CytoChron (Timur Khusyainov) is a lab-organization tool for researchers to track cell cultures, protocols, and experimental history. This policy describes what account and workspace data CytoChron stores, why, and how you can have it deleted.
Account information
To create an account we store your email address and an authentication credential. Your password is never stored in readable form: it is handled by our authentication provider, Supabase, using industry-standard hashing. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in between visits.
Workspace and research data
Everything you enter to use CytoChron is stored so the product can work: project and cell-line names and descriptions, current-state values (confluency, medium, vessel, passage number, and similar), protocol templates and applied schedules, and your Timeline history of completed and skipped actions. This data is private to your account. CytoChron is a single-workspace-per-account tool: there is no team sharing, collaboration, or cross-account visibility of your data today.
Service providers
We use Supabase (database, authentication, and hosting infrastructure) and Vercel (application hosting) to run CytoChron. These providers process data on our behalf to operate the service; they do not use it for their own independent purposes. We do not sell your data to anyone, for any purpose.
Error and diagnostic data
If CytoChron encounters an unexpected technical error, it may record the error's type, message, and the page you were on, so we can fix the problem. This diagnostic data never includes your password or session token, and is not designed to include, and in the overwhelming majority of cases will not include, the research content (notes, results, protocol details) you've entered.
Why we process this data
Solely to provide the CytoChron service to you: authenticating your account, storing and displaying your workspace data, and diagnosing technical problems.
Retention and deletion
We retain your account and workspace data for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and every record it owns at any time. See Account if you're signed in, or contact us below.
